Pet of the Week
Meet beautiful Vesta! Vesta needs a special someone to give her a forever home.
This sweet girl came to the shelter in August when her owner could no longer take care of her. Vesta was part of a large-scale surrender of animals. All of these pets were living in difficult circumstances in a single home -- also referred to as a hoarding situation. Animals living in hoarding situations with no preventive medical care are at higher risk for infectious disease transmission. The GHS followed current guidelines in managing infectious disease risk during this surrender.
During her spay it was also discovered that Vesta had a mammary tumor. It was successfully removed but there is a chance of malignant tumors returning.
Vesta is a very sweet, loving girl that just wants to be near you and get pets and cuddles! She's used to other kitties and would likely adapt to new furry friends if introduced properly! Vesta would be happiest curled up with you on the couch getting lots of love! We don't know for sure how long Vesta will be with you but we can say that the time you have with her will be very special! It takes a special someone to give a forever home to a palliative animal, if you're interested in opening your heart and home to Vesta then don't hesitate to contact us!
