Animal Care Attendant (Part-Time) background

Animal Care Attendant (Part-Time)

TITLE:                             Animal Care Attendant

TYPE:                                 Part- Time Permanent

LOCATION:                       190 Hanlon Creek Blvd., Guelph, ON

HOURS OF WORK:         Part-time; 30 hours/week; schedule to be determined and may include weekdays, evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays

WAGE RANGE:   Starting at $17.75/hour

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in our community? Guelph Humane Society (GHS)’s mission is to advance the welfare of animals through care, education, community engagement, and relationships.

GHS is committed to providing a high standard of care and welfare to all animals that come to us in need.  We are seeking a full-time Animal Care Attendant to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional animal care.

Under the direction of the Animal Care Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of day-to-day tasks related to the general/medical care, humane handling, sanitation, and monitoring of dogs, cats, and small animals, as well as providing short-term care for injured or orphaned wildlife that are awaiting transport to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.  Candidate will be responsible for greeting clients, providing exceptional customer service, having excellent communication and organizational skills, and demonstrating a positive attitude at all times.

Client Services Representative (Part-Time) background

LOCATION: 190 Hanlon Creek Boulevard, Guelph
HOURS OF WORK: Approximately 16-20 hrs per week including weekend shifts
Note this position is every weekend – please only apply if this schedule is suitable.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Finance & Administration Manager, and supervision of the Client Services Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of day-to-day front office/reception duties, including answering phones, greeting clients, processing payments and donations, booking appointments, receiving animals and general administrative duties to support the overall mission of the GHS. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, excellent communication and organization skills, and will demonstrate a positive attitude at all times.

Animal Services Officer  background

Animal Services Officer

TITLE:                  Animal Services Officer

TYPE:                   Full-time; Permanent

LOCATION:         190 Hanlon Creek Blvd., Guelph, ON

HOURS OF WORK:          40 hours/week

Rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday (Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

Overnight on-call shifts required

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in our community? Guelph Humane Society (GHS)’s mission is to advance the welfare of animals through care, education, community engagement, and relationships.

We are seeking a full-time Animal Services Officer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional service to the animals and people in our community.

The Animal Services Officer is responsible for responding to requests for animal services; assisting stray, injured, and orphaned animals (including wildlife) in our community, enforcing municipal and provincial legislation with the City of Guelph, Township of Centre-Wellington, and Township of Guelph-Eramosa; providing detailed reports; and resolving matters through education and enforcement.  The Animal Services Officer will be required to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high call-volume environment under diverse and sometimes challenging circumstances and represent the GHS in a professional manner at all times, through demonstrating a positive attitude, fostering good community relations, and supporting the overall mission and values of the GHS.
