DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
TITLE: Development Officer
TYPE: Full-time permanent
LOCATION: 190 Hanlon Creek Blvd., Guelph, ON
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours/week. Flexibility is needed for some evening and weekends.
Under the direction of the Director of Development and working closely with members of the Development and Marketing and Communications teams, the Development Officer will manage the Annual Giving program at the Guelph Humane Society (GHS). Responsibilities will include coordination of direct mail and digital asks, new donor acquisition and retention, donor stewardship, special fundraising campaigns and database management. This position plays a crucial role in planning and organizing fundraising efforts and requires strong skills in relationship building and communications to effectively support GHS’s mission and financial sustainability.

ANIMAL SERVICES MANAGER
TITLE: Animal Services Manager

Reporting to the Executive Director and leading a team of 4-6 Animal Service Officers, the Manager of Animal Services is responsible for the overall operations of the animal services programs as they relate to enforcement of municipal, provincial, and federal legislation. The successful candidate will effectively lead the Animal Services team, through managing, planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating activities of the Animal Services department in the City of Guelph, Township of Guelph-Eramosa, and Township of Centre Wellington. You will develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards. You will also work closely with the GHS leadership team to ensure the goals and objectives as set forth by the organization are achieved. The Manager, Animal Services will provide exceptional customer service, excellent communication and organization skills, and will always demonstrate a positive attitude, while supporting the overall mission and values of the GHS.

Animal Care Attendant (Part-time)
TITLE: Animal Care Attendant
TYPE: Part-time; Permanent

HOURS OF WORK: Up to 30 hours/week – shifts will include weekdays, evenings, weekends and statuatory holidays; shifts are 10 hours/day (8am-6pm)
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in our community? Guelph Humane Society (GHS)’s mission is to advance the welfare of animals through care, education, community engagement, and relationships.
We are seeking a part-time Animal Care Attendant to perform a wide range of day-to-day tasks related to the general/medical care, humane handling, sanitation, and monitoring of dogs, cats, and small animals, as well as providing short-term care for injured or orphaned wildlife that are awaiting transport to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Candidate will be responsible for greeting clients, providing exceptional customer service, having excellent communication and organizational skills, and demonstrating a positive attitude at all times.
