The Director of Development is responsible for leading a comprehensive donor relations and stewardship program that relays impact, inspires, and fosters lasting relationships to advance the mission of GHS. They will be responsible for elevating GHS’s fundraising achievements through the creation and implementation of strategic directions that actively engage community partners, sponsors, prospects and donors at all levels; leverage key relationships to achieve fundraising goals; and promote and enhance the public image of the organization.
Reporting to the Executive Director and leading a team of four direct reports, the Director of Development is a key member of the senior management team at GHS and plays a leadership role in setting and executing the organization’s fundraising strategy.

Under the direction of the Manager, Community Programs & Outreach, the Education & Community Programs Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the Humane Education Program at the Guelph Humane Society and will assist with the delivery of community programs, outreach, and communications activities.
The successful candidate will have a passion for developing impactful educational programming for kids, youths and adults. The incumbent will provide exceptional customer service, excellent communication, leadership, and organization skills, and will demonstrate a positive attitude, while supporting the overall mission and values of the GHS.

MARCH BREAK CAMP LEADER – TEMPORARY CONTRACT
TITLE: March Break Camp Leader (Temporary Contract) – 2 positions
LOCATION: 190 Hanlon Creek Boulevard, Guelph, ON
SHIFT: 8 hours, Monday-Friday (various times between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
HOURS OF WORK: 48 hours (40 hours between March 13th-17th, plus one 8-hr training
day on March 3rd)
TYPE: Temporary Contract (March 3rd, 2023, to March 17th, 2023)
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Education & Outreach Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising campers, leading daily camp activities.
and games, and providing support to all campers during GHS’ March Break Critter Camp. In addition, the March Break Camp Leader will also be responsible for handling a variety of animals, ensuring the safety of the program participants, and teaching campers about GHS and how to handle animals safely. Camp runs Monday to Friday, March 13th -March 17th. Time off will not be accommodated during this time. Camp will be located at the Guelph Humane Society and the March Break Camp Leader will be required to organize their own method of transport to and from the facility.
