Come hang out Thursday evenings for fun-filled animal programming!

Junior Humane Club is an 8-week long after school program at the Guelph Humane Society, with sessions running in Winter (January-February), Spring (April-May) and Fall (October-December).

With animal interactions, crafts and activities, Junior Humane Club offers children the ability to learn more about how the Guelph Humane Society helps animals and its role in the community, proper animal care, and how they too can help animals in our community on a weekly basis! Each week, children will have the opportunity to meet animals, make crafts and participate in animal-themed activities – sounds PAWsome, right!?

The club happens on Thursday evenings from 5:00pm to 6:30pm (for children in grades 1-4) and 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm (for children in grades 5-8). Each 8-week long session costs $140, taxes included.

COVID-19 Information:

In order to create a safe environment for all children, staff, and volunteers, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, daily pre-screening, masking and physical distancing will be required to participate in this program.

Upon arrival at GHS, a parent/guardian must present proof of their child’s full COVID-19 vaccination status. An individual is defined as fully immunized ≥14 days after receiving their second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or their first dose of a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine series that is approved by Health Canada. The only acceptable proof of vaccination is the receipt provided by the Ministry of Health/Public Health, or equivalent out-of-province health body to the person who was vaccinated.

GHS reserves the right to turn away participants that are not fully vaccinated and/or unable to show valid vaccination certificates (refunds will not be applicable).

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the Guelph Humane Society is staying on top of recommendations made by public health and all levels of government. As the situation changes, GHS will continue to assess and re-assess our plans. Registered participants will be notified of any changes to our current program policies. Furthermore, if the situation requires us to cancel Junior Humane Club, all cancelled registrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be refunded in full.
