In-Person Cat Adoption hours at GHS!
The Guelph Humane Society facilitates cat adoptions in-person on Saturdays. Join us in shelter on Saturdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm to meet your perfect match! Please note, review of online applications will be paused from 3pm Fridays until 2pm Saturdays to allow for same day, in-person adoptions to take place.
Want to adopt sooner, or did a particular cat catch your eye? Please submit an application online and, if your application is selected, a member of the adoptions team will be in touch to arrange a phone interview.
Animal Viewing Hours:
Come and visit us in-person during our animal viewing hours to:
- meet the cats in our cozy kennels, and
- view the dogs, rabbits, and small animals in our adoption rooms.
Please note that meetings and interactions with dogs are by appointment only, after an application has been submitted and you’ve been contacted by our adoptions team.

Fridays 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Saturdays 11:00am – 2:00pm

How to Adopt:
If you’re interested in adopting a pet, view the pets below by clicking on their name. Please ensure you read their adorable description and all their important details. Once you choose a pet that you feel would be a good match for your home, click “Adopt me” from within that animal’s profile. Adoptions at GHS are not processed on a “first come first served” basis. We may accept multiple applications for an animal in an effort to find the most suitable home. Click here for tips on how to submit a strong adoption application.
