To celebrate 25 years of adoptions, PetSmart Charities of Canada encourages pet lovers to make room in their hearts and homes and visit in-store events March 18 – 24.
GUELPH, ON (March 15, 2024) – In partnership with PetSmart Charities of Canada, the Guelph Humane Society (GHS) will bring adoptable pets to the Guelph PetSmart Silvercreek location in support of National Adoption Week, taking place March 18 – 24, 2024.
During the in-store event, GHS invites pet lovers to make room in their homes for pets in need. PetSmart Charities of Canada is celebrating its 25th anniversary and encourages people to consider finding room in their hearts and homes for cats like Jessi. Jessi arrived at GHS needing immediate veterinary care, she is now looking for her happy tail. To view all available pets for adoption, please visit the GHS website at guelphhumane.ca.
“PetSmart Charities of Canada National Adoption Week can be the perfect chance to give a pet in need what they need most – people to love,” said Heidi Marston, director of pet placement at PetSmart Charities of Canada. “With so many shelters across the nation struggling to keep pace with the number of animals in need of care, adopting a new pet makes an impact on the health of your community, too.”
PetSmart Charities of Canada National Adoption Week is a special time during the year. PetSmart stores feature adoptable pets to meet and cuddle in spacious areas, and staff and volunteers are on-hand to make introductions and answer questions. Potential pet parents can also learn about the products and services they’ll need for the best possible start with their new family members.
“We are proud to partner with PetSmart Charities of Canada and our local PetSmart Silvercreek store this National Adoption Week,” said Jane Dawkins, director, GHS communications and community engagement. “GHS currently has 92 animals in care, our goal is to find new homes and happy tails for as many animals as possible through this event.”
