Overview
A group workplace volunteer experience gives your team a chance to work together while supporting the Guelph Humane Society.
We’ll work with you to find a project that meets a current need at GHS and suits your group’s skills and abilities.
How your team can help
Projects change with the needs of the shelter. Your team may help with practical tasks that support animal care, community programs, or the day-to-day work of GHS.
Have particular skills or a project idea to share? Include them in your request. Our team will discuss what’s possible and explain the activities and any requirements before your visit.

Plan your visit
Workplace volunteer experiences are available Tuesday to Thursday, during these time slots:
- 10 AM to 1 PM
- 1 PM to 4 PM
We can accommodate:
- Up to 10 people for indoor activities
- Up to 20 people for outdoor activities, available May to October
We recommend a $150 donation per group to support GHS’s work caring for animals in our community.
Visits must be arranged in advance and depend on project, space, and staff availability.
Request a workplace volunteer experience
Tell us a little about your team so we can plan your visit. Please include:
- Your workplace name and a contact person
- Approximately how many colleagues would like to participate
- Your preferred dates and time slot
- Any skills or project ideas your team would like to share
- Any accessibility needs or accommodations that would help your team participate
- What you hope to get from the experience
Our team will follow up to discuss availability and next steps.
