Feb. 25 Update: GHS is moving! We will be moving to our new location at 190 Hanlon Creek Blvd. March 5-7. To limit the amount of items moving between both buildings, we will NOT be accepting physical donations over the next couple of weeks. Please check back for updates the week of March 15th to see how physical items can be donated at our new building!
Thank you for your continued support and patience during our big move!
Due to COVID-19 infection prevention protocols, we are only able to accept physical donation drop-offs at 500 Wellington St. W. on SATURDAYs during shelter hours (10am-4pm) at this time.
Please review the wish list below prior to dropping off your donations to ensure we are currently accepting your items. We ask that you drop-off your donations in labelled (e.g. Toys, Food) plastic bags for easy disinfection.
Please note, we are unable to accept donations of blankets and towels at this time due to limited storage. Please check back again in the new year. Thank you!
We thank you in advance for your generosity and consideration of our animals’ needs this holiday season! Our animals need your help more than ever during this challenging time. Each year the Guelph Humane Society serves over 3,000 vulnerable animals in the Guelph and surrounding areas. We do not receive government funding, we exist solely thanks to your generosity!
Charitable Registration Number = 119236305RR0001
Cash donations are our number one need in order to continue the high-level of care every animal that comes into our shelter receives. For donations over $20 you will receive a donation receipt.
Monetary donations are generously accepted at guelphhumane.ca!
In-Kind donations are also a generous way to give back. If you wish to receive a charitable tax receipt for your new, unopened items, please be sure to bring a purchase receipt with you when you donate your items, so the true value is known for CRA.
