This holiday weekend you can give Sprinkles the life-saving chance she needs
Sprinkles should be playing, purring, and enjoying kittenhood. But instead, she’s fighting for her life.
At just 9 months old, this sweet girl has already been through so much…much more than most animals ever will.
When Sprinkles arrived at the Guelph Humane Society (GHS), she was battling an upper respiratory infection. We treated her, helped her heal and hoped she was on her way to finding her new family.
But suddenly, things took a terrifying turn.
We rushed her to an emergency vet. Bloodwork revealed a serious infection. An ultrasound showed her belly was swollen with fluid.
And then came the devastating diagnosis: Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).
Up until now, FIP was a death sentence for a young cat, like Sprinkles. 100% fatal. There was no treatment, no hope.
But today, there is a new way forward. A groundbreaking antiviral therapy, just approved in Canada, could save Sprinkles’ life. The good news? We caught her illness early, so she’s a strong candidate for the treatment. The hard news? We need to act now.
Sprinkles’ treatment and recovery will cost up to $5,000 and with your help, we can give her the future she deserves.
Every dollar goes toward her life-saving care. She’s fighting with everything she has. Please, will you fight for her?
