Urgent Appeal

Dorothy needs your HELP:

This weekend, an adorable one-year-old puppy named Dorothy was brought to GHS in desperate need of urgent care.

Dorothy had a terrible accident, falling from a great height and breaking her little leg. Now, she’s in great pain and needs emergency surgery today to end her suffering. Dorothy has no one else to care for her, and she’s counting on YOU. Your donation today will relieve her pain and help her recovery.

A broken leg in a one-year-old puppy is serious. Without immediate veterinary care, Dorothy faces a future of chronic pain and lost mobility, turning her bright start into a lifelong struggle.

Today, two generous donors, Jack Weiner and Peter Tesche, will match your gift dollar for dollar up to $2,000. This means every dollar you give has twice the impact, bringing Dorothy and other animals like her one step closer to the care they need.

We are happy to share we have received enough funds to cover little Dorothy’s care.

Thank you to those that have donated to support Dorothy’s care.

Any addition funds raised will go towards the medical needs of other animals in care.  Thank you for your support of Dorothy and other animals in need of urgent veterinary care.

*Donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a maximum of $2,000 for total donations received Monday, June 17 until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024.

**Donations must be made via www.CanadaHelps.org. Minimum $3 donation required. Eligible Charities will automatically receive one (1) entry for each dollar donated to the Eligible Charity through CanadaHelps.org, including the CanadaHelps direct site for Canadians, customizable donation pages, P2P, events and other campaign pages created by a registered Canadian charity using the CanadaHelps system, and monthly donations processed during the challenge period (each, an “Entry” or collectively, “Entries”).
