Virtual – 2020 National Animal Welfare Conference (May 20 – May 21)

From the organizer:

About the Event

Humane Canada’s National Animal Welfare Conference (NAWC) is an annual professional development and community-building event for anyone who works with, cares for or advocates for animals. It is Canada’s  biggest and best-attended animal welfare conference.

In order to comply with national and provincial health regulations, Humane Canada cancelled the in-person seventh annual National Animal Welfare Conference, which was set to take place in Victoria, BC March 28 – 31.

We didn’t want to miss the opportunity to provide you with a fantastic conference program, and the good news is that we are going to host NAWC online this spring!

Registration will be FREE for anyone who had purchased a registration pass for the conference in Victoria. We will also have a paid registration option for anyone who is interested in participating in our online conference. The online National Animal Welfare Conference welcomes:

  • SPCA, Humane Societies and Shelter/Rescue employees
  • Students in any discipline,
  • Veterinarians and vet techs,
  • Academics,
  • Researchers and scientists,
  • Animal enforcement personnel,
  • Animal care professionals who work with companion animals, farm animals or wildlife, and.
  • People who advocate for animals or those who have an interest in animal welfare.

NOTE: If you had previously registered for the NAWC2020 in-person conference or are a member or associate of Humane Canada please contact conference@humanecanada.ca for your FREE link to register.

We look forward to “seeing you” online this spring.
