NEW RELEASE – The Guelph Humane Society has postponed their 2020 “There’s No Place Like Home” gala
GUELPH, ON (August 17, 2020) – The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) has made the difficult decision to postpone their 2020 annual gala, due to the unpredictability of COVID-19. Last year’s gala raised a record $265,000 and GHS looks forward to bringing back the highly successful event again next year on Saturday, November 6, 2021.
You’re sure to enjoy your night out as you are instructed through a 16”x20” painting of Take A Paws. We will provide stencils for various dog breeds as well as cats so you can personalize your painting! Whether you come alone, with friends, for your first date or 50th, you can bet you’ll leave with a masterpiece! The event begins at 2:00 and lasts about two hours. Make sure you come a few minutes early to settle in!
We are teaming up with the Guelph Humane Society to raise money for the animals. $20 from every ticket is donated to the shelter.
Due to COVID-19, we have made the tough decision to cancel our Garage Sale for 2020. We hope to welcome back the community in 2021!

During the month of May, we will be hosting a birthday fundraiser in honour of Frank for the Guelph Humane Society (referred to as GHS). We will collect donations in store, online (tedstire.ca) and on our Facebook Page. Also, for every set of tires sold during the month of May we will donate an additional $10! We will also be collecting food, toys and other useful supplies for the GHS in-store.

Bake for the Animals! (Feb. 1 – Feb. 29)
Start your ovens, it’s time to Bake for the Animals!
February is our most delicious month of the year! Cupcakes, brownies, and cookies, oh my! It’s all about our community coming together and creating delicious treats for friends, family and colleagues.
Bake for the Animals is a chance for members of the community to show of their baking skills (or attempt to have baking skills) and host a bake sale fundraiser for the GHS! Bakers pick a date, time & location that works for them, and sell their baked goods, with donations going to GHS. This year we are working with the Ottawa Humane Society, who have put together the amazing website where you’ll be launching your virtual bakery!
When is it?
GHS is running this Bake for the Animals for the whole month of February! This allows members of the community the flexibility to pick date(s) & time(s) that work best for you.
How can you get involved?
Start planning your event and thinking of ideas for your delicious treats.
Get your friends, family and colleagues together to join in! Bake as a team, or encourage them to support by purchasing a delicious treat and/or making a donation. Donations can be made online through your virtual bakery, or collected in person by you (offline pledge form can be downloaded HERE). All proceeds go right to our community’s most vulnerable animals in the Guelph and Wellington County.
