Jackson needed live-saving surgery when he arrived at GHS
Meet Jackson – a gentle two-year-old mixed breed dog who recently faced a life-threatening crisis.
Jackson swallowed two pieces of a corn cob, creating a deadly situation. One piece was stuck in his stomach, and the other blocked his esophagus. Jackson’s life was at risk – from heavy bleeding to serious internal injuries.
Without immediate surgery, Jackson would have died.
Thanks to your on-going support GHS was there for Jackson when he needed emergency surgery to save his life. The corn cobs were safely removed, and Jackson is now on the mend, happily wagging his tail once more.
But Jackson’s story is just one of many. Last year alone, we spent more than $250,000 on critical veterinary treatments, and this year’s needs remain just as pressing.
Imagine the relief and joy Jackson felt when he woke up from surgery, knowing he had been given a second chance at life. Your donation TODAY can make that feeling possible for countless other animals who are relying on us for their survival.
Today, your support will be matched dollar for dollar by one of our generous donors, Katharin Hawkins, doubling the impact of your generosity up to $2,500. This means every donation will go twice as far in providing lifesaving care to animals like Jackson.
