GUELPH, ON (October 5, 2018) – The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) is seeking information about a stray injured puppy that was found by members of the public the evening of Monday, October 1st. These individuals then brought the puppy to GHS. The Great Dane mix, who is estimated to be four (4) months old, was found wandering outside 411 Waterloo Avenue in Guelph.

The friendly puppy appears to be suffering from an old and untreated injury to his left hip and leg. This injury will require surgery soon and is expected to cost between $3000 to $4000. The otherwise healthy puppy is now being monitored closely at GHS, while receiving much-needed immediate veterinary care.

“We are asking for the public’s assistance to help find the owner of this dog,” says Megan Swan, Ontario SPCA Agent. “We want to understand more about his medical condition and how he came to be injured and wandering alone in Guelph.”
