How to Help

Each year the Guelph Humane Society serves over 3,000 vulnerable animals in the Guelph and surrounding areas. We do not receive government funding, we existing solely thanks to your generousity!

We thank you in advance for your generosity and consideration of our animals’ needs this holiday season and as we move into the new year!

Cash donations are our number one need in order to continue the high-level of care every animal that comes into our shelter receives.

For donations over $20 you will receive a donation receipt.

Please donate here !

GIFT CARDS – Allow us to address our urgent needs right away.

We are in need of gift cards to:

  • We even accept Canadian Tire money!

  • GENTLY USED – Fleece blankets, towels, flat sheets, knitted blankets, baby blankets
  • NEW – Cat toys, feather wands, cat enrichment toys/puzzles
  • Royal Canin food – dogs and cats
  • Stainless steel bowls (all sizes)
  • Microchip scanners (2)
  • Ear thermometers – 2 needed
  • Adaptil plug in diffusers and refills
  • “Pet Safe” road and sidewalk salt

Shredded Paper and Large Newspaper

We are able to accept donations of newspaper and shredded paper.

We no longer accept small newspapers (ie: Guelph Mercury Tribune, Snapd, The Sun, etc), magazines, flyers, phonebooks, or recyclable papers for donation. If you have large newspapers, such as The Globe and Mail, The Wellington Advertiser, and The Star, or shredded paper, feel free to drop them off at the 500 Wellington St. W.!
